Daunt Books for Travellers

Marylebone High Street is about 5 minutes walk from my home. One of its attractions is Daunt’s bookshop.
It’s a very good travel bookshop and it can be a dangerous place to visit if you are a booklover. You can get a feeling of wellbeing just by walking in and savouring the atmosphere.

Deferred Gratification

Writing about food yesterday inspired me to make sure Anthony Bourdain’s The Nasty Bits survived the recent book purge; 5 large boxes went to the nearest Oxfam shop after my shipment arrived. I read and hugely enjoyed Kitchen Confidential and A Cook’s Tour, and I’m keeping The Nasty Bits for a holiday.
